Aspiring and current salon owners of all kinds are eligible to attend. Because our events are highly structured and designed to offer each attendee individualized attention and highly relevant education, we will be selecting attendees who are at similar stages and who are following similar trajectories.
No. We frequently consult for aspiring and current salon owners with absolutely no industry qualifications or experience.
Additional parties who are directly involved in your business are welcome to attend as well at a discounted rate of $1,000–however, the venue is limited, so each attendee may only register up to two additional attendees. (Supplies will be provided to the business owner only. Attendees will not be given additional copies of the event materials provided.)

Whether or not they plan to play a role in your salon, we encourage you to bring your significant other. The decision to open a new business isn’t one anybody should be taking lightly, and it is a decision that will affect your lifestyle and your family. Please do bring them along.

Attendance is limited to 20 businesses. Some owners will attend alone and others may choose to bring a qualified guest at a discounted price.
You will be supplied with a considerable deal of material to supplement the lectures, so there will be no need to record or take pictures. We will absolutely not allow recordings or photographs during the conference lectures.
Professional attire is required–slacks/skirts and sleeved blouses/collared shirts.
All registrations are final–non-refundable and non-transferable.
A complimentary shuttle is available from O’Hare airport.
You will be provided with most of what you require, but you’re welcome to bring any materials related to your business that you consider relevant or that you believe you may need. These materials may include–business plans, brochures, business cards, employee handbooks, lease agreements, budget paperwork, etc.

Simply put: opening salons and correcting broken salons is their job. As a result of working with a wide variety of salon owners in different markets and handling the unique challenges each present, they have far more experience than any typical salon owner.

While this particular conference isn’t turnaround-focused, the information new salon owners will learn at the event will help them realize what they’ve been doing wrong (if anything), find better ways of conducting business, and prevent them from making disastrous decisions in the future.

If you have not yet committed to a lease, we highly recommend that you delay until after the conference. During the course of the event, many portions of your plan will likely change and improve. You will also (most definitely) learn that much of what you originally planned to do is either not legal, not cost-effective, not efficient, not profitable, not practical, or any combination of those factors.

Aspiring salon owners can be impulsive and reckless. It’s better to start your new venture on the right foot than to try to facilitate the implementation of corrective changes during your first year.
